Is Teaching a noble profession or not?

Is Teaching a noble profession or not?
It is too difficult to give our own views on a particular matter or subject because while giving our views we generally think of the subject or a matter whether our views will be appropriate or not, whether they will easily be understood by others or not but though we go on giving our views because we love to express ourselves before others. I think above sentence is not appropriate because teaching is not a profession. It is a duty or a responsibility .‘’Profession’’ word should be removed from this sentence and instead of using ‘’ profession’’ we should use a duty and teaching is a natural duty. It comes naturally from the heart .Partiality should not be there. It depends upon a person or his way of looking towards different kinds of things or the way he thinks , his perspectives and point of views. ‘’Teaching’’ the word sounds good. Doesn’t it? Teaching was not a profession but it has been made a profession. It is a duty to take care of the students. In primary school the role of teacher is very important because the child imitates his teacher. He observes his teacher. The  word ‘’teacher’’ becomes everything for the child. Teacher is a person who becomes a source of inspiration , a guardian . A teacher gives a lesson of morality  to their students because for the teacher it is necessary to be a good human being. ‘’ Teaching’’ the word  itself goes with holiness , A teacher should not be a partial . Teaching is not to instruct or to advice but it is to teach the’’ truth ‘’. Teacher has a capacity to turn a stubborn , cruel, immature child into a mature, good natured human being.
Today’s reality is different because the teachers are being made a instrument of corruption. They have become corrupted people and it doesn’t require any explanation .But I would say good teachers always remain good. Nobody can corrupt them. If we see from a student’s perspective rules are made to restrict or to control them but sometimes those rules are made for welfare of the students .  There are too many teachers who are really interested in the progress of the students. Teacher is a person who gives a goal to live life and shows a real path of success. A teacher teaches first how to live life with moral values and utopian ideas through his behavior
A teacher ought to encourage his students because encouragement plays a vital role. If he will not be encouraged  he won’t be able to perform his duties in future. A teacher’s role is to guide his student . If he goes on talking negatively or insulting it will hurt his student . Sometimes teacher’s unnecessary strictness becomes a big obstacle in future because whatever the student learns from his teacher he will act the same how he has been taught and trained so if in future he is put in that type of situation when someone is examining him and he is being judged by others he won’t answer , he will not be able to utter a single word because at that time of reexamination of his qualification he will be remembering that situation when he was being insulted when his teacher did not use to encourage him. However it depends upon a student’s nature how he takes it .  Here I would conclude because ‘Teaching’ cannot be defind . The word ‘’Teaching’’ has nothing to do with ‘’profession’’. I have explained what I wanted to say. Looking forward to your reply friends.

  1. You have lucidly expressed your views on the topic.
Well, the question is - 'What is wrong in considering teaching as profession?' What difference does it make if a teacher works like professional? Is it only money-mindedness that differentiate professional from teacher? Won't it make teachers more accountable if they adopt professional approach?

  2. It is my pleasure to give you the answer sir. Yes I have explained lucidly whatever I wanted to explain. It doesn't make any difference if teaching is considered as a profession. Profession word itself is a good word but I have a problem with those people the way they think about teaching in such a negative manner and they are spoiling the image of the teachers. The truth is that people have their mindset which cannot be tolerated . Because I have seen people criticizing , looking at teaching negatively and reacting when their children have a talk with them about educational system and their schools they think that their children are not provided proper , necessary or enough knowledge but they are provided only textual guidance and it's true also but we cannot consider all teachers under that category because there are too many teachers who are really interested in their students' progress.Personally I don't believe in tuition system . Because of coaching classes, personal institutes the students don't go to attend the classes at school and they remain absent always. It should be understood by teachers who inspire their students not to go to school but attend coaching classes so they are not doing their job properly but they are teaching their students not to respect their school teachers. There is a reason behind it and it's money . Students are dependent on tuitions and notes prepared by their teachers which are provided to them without any kind of explanation . These all things help people to consider teaching as a profession and it made people consider it as a profession. Whenever profession word is spoken by people it shows a talent, skill, knowledge of an individual who is better and the best at his or her work and he/she uses the talent to earn more money and to get recognition. But all professional persons should not be considered under the same category . So my point was that teaching should not be categorized because it itself is a holy thing. But it will take some time when there will not be any kind of partiality , intrigues , and corruption in the field of teaching. It will definitely become a moral duty. And yes money matters for everybody. No one can survive without money. It becomes necessary and I would say it is a student's duty to give his teacher ''GURUDAKSHINA'' because a student always should be grateful to his teacher as teacher teaches him and gives a goal to be a successful and good human being. The teacher truly deserves respect.
As I mentioned here that good teachers always remain good and I don't feel ashamed of telling that I have never seen an extraordinary ,knowledgeable and cooperative teacher like you who always encourages his students and tries his best to solve their queries . It seems a recent affair that I genuinely prayed for a good teacher and I got one like you. Because I have seen a few teachers because of whom the students have suffered a lot. Due to their partiality and money mindedness this moral duty has converted into profession so in that context and from that perspective with the reference of some teachers I had written that. Absolute respect to you sir.
    Thank you.

  3. Here I would also like to give you the answer of your question which has been raised by you and other students have been asked the same question about teaching - the mother of all profession. On the one side we are considering teaching as one of the greatest and the noblest professions and on the other side we are raising the question about morality why morality is expected in the field of teaching only so I would say the question itself is the answer . Because teaching is the mother of all profession and a mother cannot be a partial towards her child . A mother cannot be an immoral person so if we are considering teaching as a moral duty and mother of all then why can't we accept the question which is being asked nowadays about morality in the field of teaching and yes a teacher shows a right path of success and the student learns moral values from his teacher and it is expected from a teacher to be a good human being so if there is any kind of injustice that has been done with the student morality obviously comes and it should come..

  4. Because of only textual guidance, notes and material copies students have lost the ability of thinking and they have become habituated to reading only copies and notes prepared by their teachers. The fact is that if it will be continuing in future then there will be the place for professionals only.Even I have seen some duffers who have got passed with distinction and first class but they don't have common sense. They don't know how to behave and how to understand or handle the situation. profession makes the person popular among people but it also makes the man narrow so profession is not bad but how to learn and hot to achieve success is important and in most of the cases of profession money is given the first priority. and money should be given the first priority but if without morality and with intrigues and partiality professionals have lost their reputation as good human beings but there are good examples of good professionals also. Besides money corruption , intrigues play a vital role that differentiate a good teacher from professionals. In fact today's reality shows no need to explain more. Many engineering students and other students of management or the students of other faculties have completed their studies but they have no job . They are not able to apply that knowledge into their job or practical thing . In spite of being a graduate from high institute or from high professionals they have not been selected for any job..It's called lack of creativity ..

  5. Hello Hirva,

The subject matter is complex; I agree, but at the same time, it is made simple by the usage of simple sentences. Important phrases and quality words such as 'source of inspiration', and 'guardian' have made this blog praiseworthy. Fearlessness is very good quality of a writer which I've found in this blog writer. In particular, I like the last paragraph. Good work. Keep it up.
